This heading covers composite diagnostic and laboratory reagents other than diagnostic reagents of heading 30.02 composite diagnostic reagents designed to be administered to the patient and blood-grouping reagents of heading 30.06 and substances that although used as laboratory reagents are synthetic colouring matter of heading 32.04.

The heading also includes paper plastics and other materials (used as backings or support) impregnated or coated with diagnostic or laboratory reagents such as litmus or pole-finding papers.

The diagnostic or laboratory reagents of this heading can have various uses (e.g. medical veterinary scientific industrial).
