HEADING 74.17 - COOKING OR HEATING APPARATUS OF A KIND USED FOR DOMESTIC PURPOSES NON-ELECTRIC AND PARTS THEREOF OF COPPER.

19 COMMODITIES

This heading has in principle the same scope as heading 73.21. The Explanatory Note to that heading consequently applies mutatis mutandis to the goods covered here. These include small appliances such as petrol paraffin spirit stoves as normally used for travelling camping etc. and for certain household uses. This heading also covers domestic apparatus of the kind described in the Explanatory Note to heading 73.22.

The heading does not include :

(a)Blow lamps (heading 82.05).

(b)Heating cooking roasting distilling etc. machinery or plant or similar laboratory equipment of heading 84.19 for example :

(1) Non-electrical instantaneous or storage water heaters (whether for domestic or non-domestic use).

(2) Counter-type coffee percolators and certain other specialised heating cooking etc. apparatus not used in the household.

(c)Electro-thermic apparatus of heading 85.16.
